Trinidad and Tobago Mortgage Finance Company Limited (TTMF) employees donated $20,000 collected via its Dress Down Day Charity to the Salvation Army. Employees who participate in the company’s dress down Friday make a monthly contribution to a charity fund. Each year, the proceeds of the fund are tallied and a charitable organisation is selected as beneficiary. This year, the employees selected the Salvation Army because of the organisation’s mission to bring hope to the poor, the hungry, the homeless and the destitute.
The Dress Down Charity was started in 2004 and is managed by a cross-section of employees of TTMF. Other beneficiaries of the charity since 2004 include the St. Dominic’s Children’s Home (2004) and the Princess Elizabeth Home (2005).
